IIZUKA’s runners raise £3,000 for St Basils

Congratulations to Gabby, Mike and Joe (10K) from our Development team, and Alex (5K) from our Client Services team, who all ran personal best times in the Birmingham Running Festival at Sutton Park on 11th May 2025.

IIZUKA made a donation of £3,000 to our chosen charity, St Basils, in support of their efforts.

Thanking the team for their efforts, Holly Moulton, fundraising executive for the charity said:

“Every year, St Basils works with over 4,000 young people across the West Midlands, offering safe accommodation, mental health and wellbeing support, and opportunities to access education, training, and employment. Our mission is to break the cycle of homelessness and help every young person build a brighter, more secure future.

It costs £9 per night to support one young person - and with yours and the company's pledge of £3,000, you will help fund over 333 nights of safe accommodation. That’s over 333 opportunities for a young person to feel safe, supported, and start to rebuild their life. What a legacy to leave from just one day’s run.”

IIZUKA have supported St Basils since 2022, donating £22,000 over the last three years, in a mixture of fundraising and company donations. Managing Director, Greg Hayes said:

“We’re delighted to continue our support for St Basils; their work supporting young people across the West Midlands is so important, both to the individuals and the region. As a local employer, this is a great way for us to give something back to the community we work in, and for our teams to make a real difference to people’s lives and future opportunities.”
